The WBFH Music Library is vast!
There’s a belief that the WBFH music library is one of the biggest in Metro Detroit. Legend has it that two Andover High School Class of ’82 seniors went inside for a Prince record from that year are unfortunately still wandering around lost somewhere inside!
That's a lot of music!
Thankfully, Senior Griffin Gleich and Junior Sophie Razzaque know where every title is filed and can fetch them for you, quickly; everything from long-lost musical gems and classic hits to the latest chart-toppers.
Along with that music, you’ll hear interesting historic tidbits and some interesting personal stories from Griffin’s and Sophie’s life experiences.
Whether you’re a die-hard music junkie or just looking for something fresh, Griffin and Sophie definitely have the beats, the history and the energy to keep you entertained. Tune in and turn the volume up!

Listeners know Hannah Rosenstock for her creativity and her knack of constructing compelling fictional characters from thin air. Last semester, she produced the popular broadcast, In the Flesh, where she did just that.
However, Hannah wanted to establish another vehicle for great music, conversation and stupendous bits. At the beginning of this semester, Hannah launched this new offering, Just Hannah!, which is designed specifically to include spooky stories, random opinions, brain-twister riddles, hot topics, fun, fun, fun and whatever Hannah may decide to pursue!

History is very important to senior Maya Zendel. Some might say she’s obsessed with it! So what better way to incorporate that disposition than to correlate great music with what historical events happened on any given day? Join the fun and tune in to hear what unfolds! If you’re not careful, you might learn something!
This semester is Maya’s fifth on staff and she LOVES being part of the WBFH family.
Just like the classic Spice Girls song, 2 Become 1, but taking liberties with that title for a completely different meaning, Emmy Vanderpool, now in her junior year, has split off from a team show last semester to helm her very own solo show this season!
Spice Up Your Life by considering the joy one can pull from even the most mundane of events, incidents and things. Emmy will convey the empowering messages of the ultimate ambassadors for girl-power, the Spice Girls, with entertaining and informative features like two Women of the Week, a segment devoted to honoring two great women from all walks of life, exemplified by Outer Space Girls or Saturday Night Divas.
If not evident from this show description, when you tune in, Emmy will tell you Something Kinda Funny on a weekly basis, so If You Wanna Have Some Fun, then Say You’ll Be There on Wednesdays from 3:00—5:00 p.m. Get Down With Me and Let Love Lead The Way, even If U Can’t Dance. Do It!
When not at the station working on various management and creative-type endeavors, you will find Emmy employing her diplomacy skills with the Model UN team, and honing her broadcasting skills on both the forensics team and BHS TV NEWS.
What would happen if two childhood friends were to participate in a live radio broadcast?
The Biff student managers wanted to know, so they commissioned a big focus group to meet at Bloomfield Hills High School to discern if such a project were feasible and whether it would succeed in attracting an audience. Donuts and coffee were provided to 27 complete strangers off the street. These people answered questions. Luckily, the managers got great feedback! The concept was deemed a “firm go!”
After crunching the numbers and determining scenarios of whom to assign such an endeavor, there were only two names that could bring success to the project: Will Merchant and Brynn Wilcox.
Agents were contacted. Negotiations were held by Station Advisor Danielle Tier. Documents were signed. A support staff was hired.
The Biff is proud to present Wingin’ It with Will and Wilcox, a high-energy talk show that follows two seniors as they embark on, navigate through and comment about their final high-school year. The topics will cover the gamut, from sports to pop culture; current events to school news and everything in between. It’s appointment radio for the hippest of seniors!
Animé is all the rage!
Join Bayla and Grace each week as they cordially invite you to eavesdrop on their Animé conversations.
For those unfamiliar, Animé is a style of illustration and animation that originated in Japan. Bayla fancies herself as an expert and has different theories about every type of Animé style, new and old. Grace is a big fan of Animé and has her own opinions on what makes for compelling action and great story-telling.
Bayla is a junior and this is her fourth semester and welcomes the idea of having an on-air partner with whom to share her knowledge.
Grace is a sophomore and is exited to embark on her first semester on the air. When she isn’t in school or watching anime, she really enjoys drawing and listening to music.
Hit Play is where you can tune in to find the music you won’t necessarily hear on any other radio station in Metro Detroit.
Sean’s playlist goes deeper. Hit Play is the only place where you’ll find a NEW favorite song. With artists like Single File, American Football, Bad Religion, and plenty more, you’re guaranteed to find a new favorite band.
Hit Play is a unique choice among the radio signals riding the ether!
Sean is a junior and this is his first semester as part of the award-winning WBFH staff. He brings a well-rounded catalog of alternative music. In fact, he’s so knowledgeable on the subject of alternative music that he could write a book, but prefers to broadcast his insight instead!
In his spare time, Sean likes to play guitar, and walk his dog, a two-year-old Jackador named Hades.
Zeke Fury is an air personality with a bright future behind the microphone. Bloomfield Community Radio is pleased to welcome him back for another season of great radio!
After electrifying the airwaves with his very successful first season of Emo broadcasts, Zeke is ready to resume where he had left off before summer break, playing Emo songs that you may or may not have heard. Each song is carefully-selected for your enjoyment with special emphasis on themes, artist information and behind-the-scenes stories.
Zeke puts a lot of thought into crafting the playlist of each broadcast. He’s obsessed with the bands My Chemical Romance, Green Day, The Used, and Pierce The Veil.
