Biffstock 2022

Another Year; Another Record!

When the planning committee met to organize the 2022 Biffstock fundraising campaign, as per usual, they set out to better the goal of the previous year. In 2021, the staff raised over $5,000. This year, the campaign brought in over $10,000!

No one on staff expected anything near last year’s effort; it was thought a one-and-done event. Surely, WBFH would fall far short of the 2021 campaign. Except, they didn't. They doubled it!

The whole 24-hour marathon broadcast went off without a hitch; except, the after-school ice cream sale was affected by the annual paper dump, where graduating seniors drop their homework and study papers over the balcony which surrounds the commons area. No one on staff anticipated that there would be a schedule conflict, but such was the case. Luckily, the booth was tucked under the balcony in the commons; however, the organized calamity made it difficult for the staff to sell the ice cream.

The rest of the day saw plenty of hijinks on the air. When the event came to a close on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m., eleven staff members were in Studio A. Biffstock 2023 planning is underway!
