micSaturday Be A DJ 1986

WBFH Rocks on Saturdays in the Spring!

Lots of things were happening in the world during the spring of 1986, including a close approach of Halley's Comet during March; a nuclear power station in Chernobyl, Ukraine (which was still a part of the Soviet Union) exploded during April, causing a huge nuclear disaster; and, the public charity event Hands Across America which was held during May.

The Biff kept rocking along with new recruits and veteran broadcasters.

The beginners: (left to right) Greg Gilbert (6th grade, Bloomfield Hills Middle School), Greta Matteson (6th grade, East Hills Middle School), Nicole Perriton (4th grade, Way Elementary), Tricia Mulvoy (5th grade, Academy of the Sacred Heart).
The veterans: (left to right) Brent Thompson, Kevin Dunbar (7th grade, Bloomfield Hills Middle School), Kevin Crocker (8th grade, Bloomfield Hills Middle School), David Federlein (4th grade, Way Elementary).
Greg Gilbert demonstrates how easy it is to cue up a record between station breaks on The Biff.
And once the record is set to play, Greg Gilbert is ready to hear what Greta Matteson has planned to say.
David Federlein is all confidence as he waves from Studio B.
What are the odds of two Kevins doing a broadcast from Studio A? Bloomfield Hills Middle School is well-represented with Kevin Dunbar (left) and Kevin Crocker (right).
Nicole Perriton is live from Studio A as seen through the window from Studio B.
Nicole Perriton is making sure the public service announcement is cued up and ready to play.
Tricia Mulvoy really enjoys telling her listeners about what is happening at Academy of the Sacred Heart.
