A nationwide celebration of high school radio happened April 26th as the 6th Annual High School Radio Day went viral. The Biff is the flagship station for the event since WBFH General Manager Pete Bowers was the founder of High School Radio Day. Details for the event can be found at www.highschoolradioday.com.
Senior LaRhonda Richardson and Junior Imanni Wright were two of the student broadcasters in the state selected to participate in the MHSAA School Broadcast Program. They attended a special seminar at the Breslin Center in East Lansing March 24th and were able to call the state semifinal boys basketball game between Clarkston and West Bloomfield. Wright was interviewed for the State Champs show by host Kiara. Then they toured the broadcast/video facilities (SpartanVision) in the Breslin Arena and the Fox Sports Detroit production studios. General Manager Pete Bowers also attended the seminar and tour as well as engineering the broadcast of the game. Link to video:
